Purchase and Usage Notes

Important: Regarding Storage

The FLY-Pi V3 does not come with any storage device (i.e., it does not include an M2WE module or a Micro SD card). You must configure at least one of the following storage media for the device to function:

  • Option 1 (Recommended): Purchase the FLY custom M2WE module for faster system response and higher reliability.
  • Option 2: Prepare your own Micro SD (TF) card, with a capacity between 16GB-128GB.

Important Notes

Interface Conflict Warning

TFT Screen and SPI Accelerometer Interface CANNOT be used simultaneously!

  • Physical Conflict: The TFT screen (via the FPC-TFT interface), the SPI accelerometer interface (ZH1.5-7P), and the RRF expansion interface share the same set of SPI resources on the hardware level.
  • Consequence: If connected simultaneously, it will cause abnormal screen display and severely inaccurate accelerometer measurement data.
  • Solution: Ensure you connect only one of these at a time.
M2WE Interface Warning

Private Protocol, STRICTLY Prohibit Connecting Non-FLY Devices!

  • The onboard M2WE expansion interface uses a FLY private protocol, with custom physical and electrical specifications.
  • It only supports connecting the officially provided FLY M2WE module (for expanding Wi-Fi or eMMC storage functionality).
  • Absolutely DO NOT connect any standard or unofficial M.2 devices, as this will inevitably cause permanent hardware damage to the board.
Regarding Wi-Fi Functionality

The FLY-Pi V3 does NOT have onboard Wi-Fi.

If you need Wi-Fi, you have two options:

  1. Recommended Solution: Purchase and use the FLY official M2WE Wi-Fi module.
  2. Alternative Solution: Use a generic USB Wi-Fi module, but ensure it supports Linux systems and is driver-free to guarantee compatibility.
