Pin Distribution

Note
  • This page lists the pin distribution of the FLY-Super5 motherboard after flashing Klipper firmware. Pin numbers are based on the motherboard schematic.
  • UART/CS is the driver communication pin: when using TMC2209, it functions as UART; when using SPI drivers such as TMC5160, it functions as chip select CS. The same pin is multiplexed.
  • EN is the enable pin, typically active-low (enable_pin with ! prefix) in Klipper configurations.
  • DIAG is the driver diagnostic signal pin. When using sensorless homing, configure the corresponding diag_pin according to the table below.

Driver Pins

The FLY-Super5 provides 5 driver ports:

DRIVER0PE14PE15PB11PB10PB7
DRIVER1PE11PE12PE13PE10PC13
DRIVER2PE7PE8PE9PA4PC7
DRIVER3PE4PE5PC1PC0PC14
DRIVER4PE1PE2PE3PE0PC6
Power Off Before Operation

Before starting, completely power off the printer and disconnect the power supply. Do not plug or unplug wiring harnesses, arrange interface cable sequences, or touch terminals while the printer is powered on.

DIAG and Sensorless Homing

When using sensorless homing, the driver chip outputs a stall detection signal through the DIAG pin, and Klipper needs to read this signal through the corresponding input port. The correspondence between DIAG and endstop ports on this motherboard is as follows:

  • DRIVER0–4: DIAG is directly connected to the corresponding endstop input port on the main controller (DRIVERn → endstop port n). There are no DIAG jumper pins on the board, so the DIAG signal is always delivered to the main controller. When enabling sensorless homing, simply configure the corresponding endstop port pin as diag_pin. Do not connect a physical endstop switch to that endstop port.

After enabling sensorless homing, the corresponding endstop port is occupied by the DIAG signal, and mechanical or optical endstop switches must not be connected simultaneously.

SPI Bus

SPI drivers such as the TMC5160 use the motherboard's hardware SPI bus. Configure spi_bus: spi1a in the configuration; there is no need to separately configure MOSI/MISO/SCLK pins:

spi_bus: spi1a
cs_pin: Corresponding driver's UART/CS pin
