Pin Mapping

  • This page lists the pin mapping of the FLY-Super8 Pro motherboard after flashing Klipper firmware. The pin numbers are based on the motherboard schematic.
  • UART/CS is the driver communication pin: when using TMC2209, it serves as UART; when using SPI drivers such as TMC5160, it serves as chip select CS. The same pin is shared for both functions.
  • EN is the enable pin, which is typically active-low in Klipper configuration (enable_pin with a ! prefix).
  • DIAG is the driver diagnostic signal pin. When using sensorless homing, configure the corresponding diag_pin according to the table below; some drivers may still require setting the DIAG jumper as instructed.

Power Off Required

Before starting, completely shut down the printer and disconnect the power supply. Do not plug or unplug cables, arrange wiring, or touch terminals while the power is on.

DIAG and Sensorless Homing

When using sensorless homing for homing, the driver chip outputs a stall detection signal through the DIAG pin, and Klipper must read this signal through the corresponding input port. The correspondence between DIAG and the endstop ports on this board is as follows:

  • DRIVER0–6: DIAG is directly connected to the corresponding endstop input port on the main controller (DRIVERn → endstop port n). There are no DIAG jumper pins on the board; the DIAG signal always reaches the main controller. When enabling sensorless homing, simply configure the corresponding endstop port pin as diag_pin. Do not connect a physical endstop switch to this endstop port.
  • DRIVER7: DIAG is not directly connected to an endstop port. You must manually install the DIAG jumper cap next to it to route the DIAG signal to PF3 (the DIAG multiplexed pin) before sensorless homing can be used.

Once sensorless homing is enabled, the corresponding endstop port is occupied by the DIAG signal and must not be connected to a mechanical or optical endstop switch simultaneously.

SPI Bus

SPI drivers such as the TMC5160 use the motherboard's hardware SPI bus. In the configuration, simply fill in spi_bus: spi1a; there is no need to configure MOSI/MISO/SCLK pins individually:

Supported Thermistor Types

The thermistor ports support NTC thermistors (100K) by default. It is recommended to configure sensor_type as Generic 3950.

K-type thermocouples, PT100, etc., require additional signal conversion chips and cannot be connected directly to the thermistor ports.
