Connection and Usage

Connecting to a Computer​

FLY-USB-LCD7 connects to a computer via a USB Type-C cable, simultaneously handling power supply, video transmission, audio output, and touch data communication.

Connection Steps​

  1. Use a Type-C cable that supports data transfer (not a charge-only cable) to connect the screen to the computer's USB port.
  2. The screen automatically powers on and displays the boot screen.
  3. The computer recognizes the following devices:
    • USB Video Device: Used to receive the video pushed from the host
    • USB Audio Device: Used for audio output
    • USB Touch Device (HID): Used for touch input, plug and play without drivers
    • FLY BOOT disk: Used for firmware upgrade (see Firmware Upgrade for details)
    • FLY DATA disk: Used for storing user files
Notes
  • Please use a reliable quality Type-C data cable; poor quality cables may cause screen flickering or recognition failure
  • The screen is powered by USB; please ensure the host USB port outputs ≥ 5V 1A
  • Some computers' front USB ports have insufficient power supply; it is recommended to use rear USB ports or a powered USB Hub

Video Display​

The screen receives and displays the MJPEG video stream pushed from the host via USB. The host needs to install the companion driver to encode the video into MJPEG format and send it to the screen via USB.

No Video Signal​

When the host stops pushing the video signal:

  • The screen will automatically turn off the backlight after about 30 seconds (screen saver)
  • Touch anywhere on the screen to wake up the display
  • The screen automatically resumes normal display when the video signal is restored

Touch Operation​

The screen features a built-in GT911 capacitive touch panel, communicating with the host via USB HID protocol, plug and play without driver installation.

  • Supports multi-touch
  • Touch coordinates automatically adjust with screen rotation
  • Touch feedback buzzer can be enabled in the settings interface

Audio Output​

The screen features built-in USB audio output, allowing the host to use the screen as an audio playback device.

  • Output volume can be adjusted in the settings interface (0~100%)
  • Supports mute function
  • Audio and video are transmitted synchronously

Settings Interface​

Long press both the bottom-left and bottom-right corners of the screen simultaneously for about 2 seconds to open the settings interface.
