Connecting to the Host via SSH

Power Off Operation

Before starting, completely power off the printer and disconnect the power supply. Do not plug or unplug wiring harnesses, organize interface wiring, or touch terminals while the device is powered on.

Danger
  • This document only applies to the FLY host.
  • If you are compiling and flashing firmware, please refer to the network connection guide instead of the serial connection guide.
  • You can connect to the device via serial or Wi-Fi.
  • Please prepare MobaXterm Personal or other SSH terminal tool in advance.
  • Please confirm that the SD card or M2WE has System corresponding to the host computer flashed.
  • If the host computer fails to start normally, please remove peripherals such as drivers, limit switches, fans, etc.!!!
  • Finally, please connect to SSH over the network to compile the firmware!!
  • For firmware compilation, please refer to the tutorial on connecting the host computer via Wi-Fi or Ethernet cable

  • Ensure the system card has the corresponding system flashed; otherwise, the system will not boot.

Installing the Antenna

  1. Install the antenna for the M2WE or 2.4G WiFi module.

    Caution
  • The FLY-Pi V3 can use the M2WE Wi-Fi module, a compatible 2.4G Wi-Fi module, or a driver-free USB Wi-Fi module to connect to a wireless network.
  • Please note that the host does not support Wi-Fi with Chinese names, nor does it support combined 2.4G and 5G dual-band Wi-Fi.

  • The red arrow indicates the Wi-Fi antenna connector.
  • The Wi-Fi antenna connector is ipex1.
  • Please install the antenna onto the M2WE, otherwise, poor signal may prevent connection to the router.

Power Supply

  • Use a USB Type-c cable to connect the FLY host to your computer.

  • Ensure that the USB Type-C supports data transfer!

  • The indicator light will flash rapidly after the system starts!!

  • Flashing indicates that the system has booted.

Connecting via SSH

Connecting to Host Machine SSH via Serial Port Using Web Page

  • Connect the host machine to the computer via USB, then click Device Connect below.

  • If successful, USB Serial or a similar device will be displayed.

  • Select the corresponding device, then click Connect.

  • A prompt will appear upon successful connection.

  • FlyOS-FAST default username is root, default password is mellow.

  • Starting from version V1.3.2, the FAST system automatically logs in via serial connection by double-clicking or pressing Enter twice consecutively.

  • The content shown in the image below will appear after pressing Enter.
