TP 5V External Driver

The TP 5V External Driver is a brand-new category of external driver launched by FLY, continuing the TP series naming convention and compatible with the DP series and PRO X10.

It is a 5V boost module that raises the 3.3V driver signals (STEP/DIR/EN) output by the motherboard to 5V, making it suitable for external drivers that require 5V logic-level input.

Power Supply Notice

This module requires a 24V power supply from the motherboard, and the motherboard's driver power input must not exceed 24V. Before connecting, please confirm the motherboard's power specifications to avoid damaging the module.

Power Off Before Operation

Before starting, completely shut down the printer and disconnect the power supply. Do not plug or unplug cables, tidy up interface wiring, or touch terminals while the system is powered on.

Reference Configuration

The TP 5V External Driver is a level-shifting module and does not require any driver sections such as [tmc5160] or [tmc2209] to be configured. Simply configure the STEP/DIR/EN pins on the motherboard side according to the external driver method.

Testing Required Before Use

After installing this module, do not connect the external driver immediately. First, complete the safety check according to the 5V Module Test Instructions to confirm that the module and configuration are normal before proceeding with wiring.
