The Mellow Fly-D5 is a high-performance 3D printer motherboard developed by the Fly3D motherboard R&D team at Guangzhou Mellow Electronics Technology Co., Ltd., supporting up to 5 stepper motor drivers.

Important Notes
  1. Firmware Support: This motherboard supports Klipper and Marlin firmware. When using Klipper firmware, a host computer is required.
  2. Power Supply Instructions: The D5 motherboard does not support reverse-powering the host computer through the interface.

  • Main control chip: Utilizes the STM32F072RBT6 chip based on the 32-bit ARM Cortex-M0+ architecture, with a main frequency of 48MHz.
  • Communication Bus: Supports CAN bus connections, offering advantages such as stable data transmission, low latency, and reliable connectivity.
  • Driver Compatibility: Supports various stepper motor drivers including A4988, LV8729, DRV8225, TMC2208/2209/5160.
  • Smart Limit: Features onboard DIAG function pins, allowing sensorless homing without physical limit switches easily via jumper caps.
  • Rich Interface: Provides multiple expansion interfaces such as BLTouch (servo and probe), UART, and 12864 LCD screen.
  • Flexible Power Supply: Supports 12-24V wide voltage DC input, ensuring stable power supply and eliminating the need for additional step-down modules.
