Connection Methods

Important Notes
  • Only the two methods below can be used for connection, and you must choose one—there are no other connection methods!!!

Method One: Connect the USB A (male) port of the U-IP to the USB A (female) port of the host machine.

Method Two: Use a data cable (USB to TYPE-C) to connect one end to the USB A (female) port of the host machine and the other end to the U-IP.

Then: After connecting the cable, wait normally.

Configuring the U-IP Method

Important Notes
  • Currently not supported for Apple users.
  • Requires a WINDOWS system to function.
  • Only the two methods below can be used for connection, and you must choose one—there are no other connection methods!!!

Method One: Connect the USB A (male) port of the U-IP to the USB A (female) port of the computer.

Method Two: Use a data cable (USB to TYPE-C) to connect one end to the USB A (female) port of the computer and the other end to the U-IP.

Then: Wait for five seconds, then use a browser on WINDOWS and enter http://192.168.4.1/ in the address bar. Press Enter to bring up the interface shown below.

Interface Introduction

Network Settings

  • Allows setting the U-IP's IP address, MAC address, hostname, and backend management port.
  • Please do not modify these settings arbitrarily.

Display Settings

  • Allows setting the display orientation, backlight brightness, and whether to show the IPv6 address of the connected machine, among other options.

System Control

  • Allows viewing the firmware version and provides options to restart the device or enter the U-IP's flashing mode.

System Connection Configuration

Moonraker Configuration

  • The first option is whether to enable Moonraker connection (enabled by default).
  • The second is the IP address automatically assigned to the machine.
  • The third is the Moonraker port number (default is 7125).

SSH Configuration

  • This method can be attempted for special systems, but note that not all machines may support this feature.
  • After enabling SSH connection, enter the machine's SSH username and password. The default port is 22.
  • This option logs into the machine via SSH to retrieve the machine's IP and system resources. If retrieval fails, it will continuously loop at the boot interface.
