Introduction
LLL PLUS Buffer
The LLL PLUS buffer is a filament buffer for 3D printers developed by Mellow. It is designed to improve the stability and print quality of 3D printing. This product is made of high-quality materials and incorporates advanced design concepts. It is wear-resistant and heat-resistant, suitable for various types of 3D printers.
Using the LLL PLUS Buffer
The LLL PLUS filament buffer is a device specially designed for remote filament feeding in 3D printers, aiming to simplify filament loading and unloading operations. The buffer features two buttons, one for feeding and one for retracting, allowing users to perform electric filament feeding and retracting operations.
Buffer Function:
When the extruder of the 3D printer pulls in filament, if it pulls on the remote filament spool, the buffer detects this action and automatically feeds a section of filament toward the hot end. Each time pulling occurs, the buffer repeats this feeding operation. This effectively reduces the pulling force exerted by the extruder on the filament, maintaining a stable extrusion force, thereby improving the stability of print quality.
Filament Detection Function:
The buffer is equipped with a built-in filament detector. When it detects that there is no filament inside the buffer, it sends a signal to the 3D printer to pause printing. To use this function, you need to connect the signal pin and modify the configuration of the 3D printer. However, the buffer function can be used directly without modifying the configuration. With the design of the above functions, the LLL filament buffer not only simplifies filament operations but also enhances the stability of the 3D printing process and improves print quality.
- Please note that the filament must be loaded to use the functions. Otherwise, only the motor operation can be controlled via the buttons.
Special Notes
- Before use, please ensure that the buffer is correctly connected to the 3D printer and that the filament has been properly loaded; otherwise, it will not function properly.
- The feeding and retracting operations of the buffer can be controlled via the buttons, and users can operate as needed.
- If you want to use the filament detection function, you need to connect the signal pin and modify the configuration of the 3D printer.
- If only the buffer function is used, simply connect a 12V-24V power supply.
Button Description
- Firmware Version:
V1.0.3- Adds the following functions based on the original features:
- Single-click the forward button to output a high level on PA2 for 3 seconds.
- Single-click the reverse button to output a low level on PA3 for 3 seconds.
- Double-click any button to stop the buffer. After reloading, clicking any button or long-pressing any button resumes buffer operation.
- Firmware Version:
V1.1.1- Adds speed control command (revolutions per minute): speed nnn [newline]
- Firmware Version:
V1.1.2- When the retraction signal pin is triggered or the retraction button is long-pressed, the motor stops after retraction is complete. Clicking any button or triggering the forward signal pin resumes motor operation.
