FLY-LLL Flux Buffer Firmware Update

Applicable Versions

This page applies to devices with firmware version v2.0.0 and above. Devices below v2.0.0 need to first follow Firmware Flashing to enter DFU and flash the complete firmware.

Check Firmware Version

After connecting the device via the FLY-LLL Flux Buffer Configuration Tool, check the current firmware version in "Device Information".

If you do not see the "Enter Flashing" button after connecting, it means the current firmware is below v2.0.0. Please use Firmware Flashing instead.

Firmware Download

Please download the application firmware used for web tool updates:

The current firmware is located in the following path of the firmware repository:

FLY-Firmware/ExtensionBoard/LLL-FLUX-BUFFER/Product-Firmware
Do Not Select the Wrong Firmware

Web tool updates can only select .bin application firmware from the Product-Firmware directory. Do not select the complete firmware from the mergedBL directory; it is not the application firmware used by the web tool and may cause update failure or the device to fail to start.

Update Steps

  1. Use a Type-C data cable that supports data transfer to connect the control board to the computer.
  2. Open the FLY-LLL Flux Buffer Configuration Tool using Chrome or Edge.
  3. Click Connect Device and select the serial port corresponding to the FLY-LLL Flux Buffer in the browser popup.
  4. Confirm that the firmware version in "Device Information" is v2.0.0 or higher, then click Enter Flashing.
  5. The tool will send flyboot to the device and disconnect the serial port, then a flashing dialog will pop up. This is normal.
  6. In the dialog, click Select Device and select the control board serial port in the browser popup.
  7. Click Select Firmware and select the Product-Firmware .bin file you just downloaded.
  8. Click Start Flashing and wait for the progress to complete; do not close the page or disconnect the Type-C before flashing succeeds.
  9. After flashing is complete, the device will automatically restart. Reconnect the configuration tool and confirm that the firmware version has been updated.
Note
  • Do not disconnect the Type-C connection or operate the control board buttons during the update process.
  • If the flashing dialog does not pop up after "Enter Flashing", first confirm that the browser allows serial port access, then reconnect the device and try again.
  • If the update fails, do not repeatedly plug and unplug the cable while powered; first power off the control board, check the data cable and firmware file, and then try again.
