Connect to the Host via SSH

  • This document is only applicable to FLY hosts. Other devices are for reference only.
  • If you are compiling and flashing firmware, please refer to the network connection tutorial instead of the serial connection tutorial.
  • You can connect to the device using a serial port or WIFI
  • Please prepare MobaXterm_Personal or other SSH terminal tools in advance
  • Please ensure that the SD card or M2WE has flashed the corresponding host system
  • If the host cannot start normally, please remove peripherals such as drivers, limit switches, and fans!!!
  • Finally, connect to SSH via network for convenient firmware compilation!!
  • For firmware compilation, please refer to the tutorial on connecting the host via WIFI or Ethernet

Power Supply

  • Connect the FLY host to the computer using a USB Type-C cable

  • Ensure the USB Type-C cable supports data transfer!

  • After the system starts, the indicator light will flash rapidly!!

  • Flashing indicates the system has successfully started

Connecting to Host Computer via Serial SSH

  • If the mainboard is properly connected to the computer, you can see the CH340 port in the Device Manager after opening it
  • Open MobaXterm and set it up as shown below. Select the port that was previously visible in the device manager
  • If everything is working properly, you will see the boot screen
  • After a short wait, the screen will appear indicating that the system has started

If after waiting for several minutes nothing is displayed as shown in the image below, press the Enter key a few times

  • Please note that for the FAST system, you need to enter a username and password, and the password will not be visible
  • FlyOS-FAST default username is root, default password is mellow

After pressing Enter, the following content will be displayed

  • To view the device IP, ensure the device is connected to the network via Ethernet or WiFi Connect to WiFi
  • If you need to check the IP address, enter the command below in the SSH terminal and press Enter. Locate the IP address that belongs to the same network segment as your router to access it
    ip a | grep inet
  • Please note that if WiFi has not been configured in the system, the IP address will not be displayed
