FLY-AMS Configuration Tool

Instructions for Use

This tool connects to the FLY-AMS control board via the browser’s Web Serial API to read device information and modify local parameters. Serial communication uses 9600 baud.

Please use a Chrome or Edge browser that supports Web Serial and allow the webpage access to the device’s serial port.

After connection, the tool will first display the reference default values, then replace them one by one with the device’s current saved values using info responses. If the firmware version is not recognized the first time, the tool will automatically resend the version request up to 3 times. During the connection, the sensor status is automatically checked every second, or you can click “Refresh Now” to check immediately or pause automatic updates. The page displays the data grouped by motor sensors and buffer sensors.

Precautions
  • Switching system_mode will save the settings and automatically restart the device, causing a temporary disconnection of the serial port. Please wait until the restart is complete before reconnecting.
  • This tool does not provide material change configurations for Klipper master controls. Do not add unverified serial port settings directly to the printer configuration file.

Power-Off Procedures

Before connecting or disconnecting the control board data cable, organizing the wiring harness, or checking terminals, make sure the printer is completely turned off and the power supply is disconnected. Do not plug or unplug the wiring harness, reorganize the interface connections, or touch the terminals while the printer is powered on.

Connecting the Device

  1. Use a USB Type-C data cable that supports data transfer to connect the FLY-AMS control board to the computer.
  2. Click Connect Device below, and select the serial port corresponding to the FLY-AMS control board in the browser popup.
  3. After changing the numerical parameters, press Enter, leave the input field, or click Save Parameters to send the changes. Dropdown options will be sent immediately. The Save button will wait for the device to write the changes before automatically confirming with an info response, and the send result can be viewed in the serial log.
  4. Wait for the info response to appear in the serial log and confirm that the device values are displayed on the page, then click Disconnect Device to proceed with local feeding tests.

Parameter Explanation

After connection, the tool will first display the device’s saved values. The “Reset to Default Values” option in the table below is only for verification; the actual values returned by the device may differ.

Resetting to Defaults

Resetting to default parameters will overwrite the previously saved settings in the device. If the current system mode is not multi, the device will also automatically restart after saving. After execution, please check the motor direction, feeding speed, and buffer trigger sequence again.
