Enter Burning Mode

The circled part is the BOOT button

• To enter burning mode, the motherboard must be completely powered off. Press and hold the BOOT button, then connect one end of the data cable with data transmission to the motherboard and the other end to your device.

Windows Burning Tutorial

• Katapult firmware for USB accelerometer Click to download firmware automatically

• Prepare a data cable with data transfer capabilities.
• Download the firmware to the computer.
• Connect the BOOT jumper or hold it and connect it to the computer, at this point the RPI-RP2 disk will appear.
• Remove the BOOT jumper or release the button!!!
• Copy the firmware that needs to be burned into it, please note that only UF2 suffix firmware can be used!!! (Do not modify the suffix name, it is useless.)

• After copying the firmware into the RPI-RP2 disk, it will automatically disappear, indicating that the firmware burning is complete!

Host Computer Burning Tutorial

1. Install the burning tool

   • Enter the following command in SSH
   • Only execute this the first time you burn, no need to execute it afterwards

   cd ~/klipper/lib/rp2040_flash/ && make
   

2. Execute the following command to check if the connection is successful.

   • Enter lsusb

   • If there is no 2e8a:0003 device, please try to re-enter burning mode

   • Due to system version issues, it may show other names. If there is 2e8a:0003, it indicates that the burning mode has been entered.

     
   Notice

   Proceed to the next step only if there is a 2e8a:0003

3. Pull the pre-compiled firmware

   • These are all pre-compiled firmwares
   • Please note that the host machine needs to be able to access the internet to install
   • The host machine needs to execute the following command to download the firmware package

   cd && git clone https://github.com/FengHua741/FLY_Katapult.git
   • If the firmware package has already been downloaded, it is recommended to update the firmware package before proceeding with the remaining operations

   cd ~/FLY_Katapult && git pull

4. Burn Firmware

Only one of the firmwares needs to be burned

• Below is the firmware flashing command

  sudo ~/klipper/lib/rp2040_flash/rp2040_flash ~/FLY_Katapult/BL/USBADXL/FLY_USBADXL.uf2

5. If the following prompt appears, the burning is successful

After burning, the motherboard needs to be completely powered off once.
