Introduction

1. Product Overview

FLY SB2040 PRO V3 is a toolboard developed by Guangzhou Meilun Electronics Technology Co., Ltd. for the VORON Stealthburner printhead. With this toolboard, four wires can replace the complicated wiring between the mainboard and the printhead, optimizing the layout. SB2040 is applicable to Stealthburner and Afterburner. It integrates a CAN transceiver, RS232 transceiver, USB port, TMC2240 driver, LIS2DW accelerometer, three controllable fans, and other functional modules. This toolboard is compatible with Klipper and RRF firmware.

1.1 Product Features

  • Features a Boot button, allowing users to update firmware by entering Boot mode via Type-C
  • Supports Klipper firmware and RRF firmware
  • Supports CAN mode, RS232 mode, and RRF CAN mode
  • Offers higher transmission speed and stronger stability in RS232 mode. In CAN mode, supports CAN expansion with a reserved CAN expansion interface
  • Temperature sensor support: onboard MAX31865 chip, compatible with PT100 and PT1000 temperature sensors
  • Onboard LIS2DW accelerometer and LDC1612 sensor
  • Features RGB interface, onboard 2240 driver, supports various leveling sensors such as Klicky, Voron Tap, PL08n, etc.
  • Supports 12-24V voltage and 15A current input, larger heating cartridge port with a rated current of 10A

1.2 New Features

  • Supports switching between Klipper CAN mode, RS232 mode, and RRFCAN mode
  • Newly added RS232 mode provides higher transmission speed and better stability, and is easier to debug
  • Newly added RRF CAN mode allows switching to RRF toolboard, enhancing versatility
  • Newly added CAN expansion interface for convenient expansion of CAN devices
  • Newly added terminal resistor DIP switch, allowing selection of 120R terminal resistor via DIP switch without jumper wires
  • Newly added 1-meter power/signal cable with twisted pair design for stronger anti-interference performance
