Serial Screen Usage
This page explains daily usage of the Fly-WiScreen 7-inch screen after flashing the serial firmware. The serial screen usage tutorial for the WiScreen 7-inch screen is almost identical to that of the WiScreen 5-inch screen, with the main differences being screen size, image resource specifications, and slight layout variations.
In serial mode, the WiScreen communicates with FlyOS-FAST or a host machine running Moon2Uart via moon2uart. The fly_screen switch is not used. fly_screen is the native screen display service of FlyOS-FAST, designed for local display scenarios such as FLY-TFT and HDMI.
FLY Screen Usage Tutorial: Usage Tutorial
Pages such as file list, printing status, movement temperature, tool calibration, settings, and power-loss resume on the WiScreen serial firmware are generally consistent with the daily usage flow of FLY Screen. When reading the FLY Screen usage tutorial above, refer only to the screen operation process and do not apply the klipper_screen=0 or fly_screen=1 configuration settings to the WiScreen serial screen.
Prerequisites
- The screen has been flashed with the Fly-WiScreen 7-inch serial firmware.
- The host machine is running FlyOS-FAST, or has Moon2Uart related services installed and enabled.
- The screen can properly enter the main interface and read printer status, temperature, and file list.
- If the screen has no data or remains offline, first check the serial firmware, Moon2Uart service, and connection configuration.

Differences from the 5-inch Screen
The usage logic of the serial screen for the Fly-WiScreen 7-inch screen and Fly-WiScreen 5-inch screen is almost identical. Daily printing, temperature, movement, settings, and power-loss resume procedures can share the same usage instructions. When replacing images, please create resources according to the image specifications for the corresponding screen size.
