Connecting to Host Computer via SSH
- This document applies only to FLY host computers.
- If you are compiling or flashing firmware, please refer to the network connection tutorial instead of the serial connection tutorial.
- You can connect to the device via serial port or Wi-Fi.
- Please prepare MobaXterm_Personal or another SSH terminal tool in advance.
- Ensure the
SDcard orM2WEhas the corresponding host computer system flashed onto it. - If the host computer fails to boot normally, please remove drivers, limit switches, fans, and other peripherals!!!
- Finally, please connect via network to SSH for convenient firmware compilation!!
- If you need to compile firmware, please see the tutorial for connecting to the host computer via Wi-Fi or Ethernet cable.
Installing the System Storage Card
- Ensure the system card has the corresponding system flashed onto it; otherwise, it will not boot.

Installing the Antenna
- Install the antenna for the
M2WEor2.4G WiFimodule.
- The FLY host computer requires an
M2WEor2.4G WiFimodule; otherwise, Wi-Fi cannot be used. - Please note: the host computer does not support Wi-Fi with Chinese names, nor does it support dual-band (2.4G and 5G) combined Wi-Fi.
- The location indicated by the red arrow is the Wi-Fi antenna port.
- The Wi-Fi antenna port is
ipex1. - Please install the antenna onto the M2WE; otherwise, poor signal may prevent connection to the router.
Power Supply
- Use a
USB Type-Ccable to connect the FLY host computer to your computer. - Ensure the
USB Type-Ccable supports data transfer! - After the system boots, the indicator light will blink rapidly!!
- Blinking indicates the system has started.

Connect to Host Computer SSH via Web Serial Port

After connecting the host computer to the computer via USB, click
Device Connectionbelow. -
If normal,
USB Serialor other similar devices will be displayed. -
Select the corresponding device, then click
Connect. -
A prompt will appear upon successful connection.

FlyOS-FAST default username: root, default password: mellow.

Starting from version
V1.3.2, the FAST system uses serial port connection with double-click or pressing Enter twice for automatic login. -
After pressing Enter, the following content will appear:

- The appearance of the interface below indicates successful login.
- The FAST system updated the style below after version V1.3.0.
Connect to Host Computer SSH via Serial Port
- If the host computer is properly connected to the computer, open Device Manager to see the
CH340port.
- Open
MobaXtermand configure as follows. Select the port seen earlier in Device Manager.
- Note:
Speed(bps)*must be set to115200.
- If everything is normal, the startup screen will appear.
- Wait a moment; the appearance of this screen indicates startup.
If after a few minutes, the interface shows no display as in the image below, press Enter a few times.

IP, ensure it is connected via Ethernet cable or WiFi. Connect WiFi
Connect to Host Computer SSH via Network IP
- Please log in to the router backend connected to the host computer, unless you know the host computer's IP address.
- Ensure you know the host computer's username and password.
- FlyOS-FAST default username: root, default password: mellow.
- If the motherboard has started and is connected to the network, you can use the following method to connect to SSH.
- Open MobaXterm and configure as follows. Enter the IP address viewed earlier, which can also be checked in the router backend.
Note: In step 4, enter the host computer's username.
- The first time connecting will pop up this window; click
Accept.
- When prompted for the password, enter the host computer's password and press Enter.
Note: The entered password is not visible; just press Enter after typing.
- FLY-FAST system username:
root, password:mellow.

- The FAST system updated the style below after version V1.3.0.
- Login successful.
