Quick Start

Guide Objectives: Within 30 minutes, complete the system deployment and firmware flashing of the Fly-PI V3 motherboard, bringing it to a state where it can connect to Klipper and perform basic tests.

Completion Milestone: Access the Klipper interface via a web browser.

Important Notes
  • Required accessories: The Fly-PI V3 must be used with Fly-M2WE or TF card, otherwise the system will not boot
  • Power Requirements: DC power terminal input range 12V-24V; Type-C input of 5V/2A or above is also possible, but only one method can be used at a time
  • Safe Operations: Always disconnect power before any wiring operations! When flashing firmware, also follow the instructions in the guide
  • Tool Preparation: Prepare basic tools such as screwdrivers and data cables in advance
  • System Startup: It is recommended not to install a screen for the first boot; configure it later via an SSH connection

Step 2: Install System and Basic Configuration

Complete the following configuration items to bring the system to an operational state:

Description:

  • Ensure the TF card or M2WE is correctly formatted before flashing the image
  • The first system boot may take 3-5 minutes, please be patient
  • Default SSH connection username: root, password: mellow
  • Screen configuration is only required when a screen device is present

Recommendation:

  • It is recommended to configure and test extended features one at a time to avoid changing too many parameters at once
  • Camera configuration requires additional USB camera device support
  • Resonance compensation requires an accelerometer sensor
  • Tool board connection is applicable to multi-toolhead 3D printers
