SSH Connection to Host Computer

This document is only applicable to FLY host computers.
If you are compiling or flashing firmware, please refer to the network connection tutorial instead of the serial port connection tutorial.

You can connect to the device via serial port or Wi-Fi.
Please prepare MobaXterm_Personal or other SSH terminal tools in advance.
Ensure that the SD card or M2WE has the corresponding host computer system flashed onto it.
If the host computer cannot boot normally, please remove drivers, limit switches, fans, and other peripherals!!!
Finally, please connect via network to SSH for easier firmware compilation!!
If you need to compile firmware, please refer to the tutorial on connecting the host computer via Wi-Fi or Ethernet cable.

Ensure that the system card has the corresponding system flashed onto it; otherwise, it will not boot.

Installing the Antenna

Install the Wi-Fi antenna.

warning

Please note: The host computer does not support Wi-Fi with Chinese names, nor does it support dual-band (2.4G and 5G) combined Wi-Fi.

The location indicated by the red arrow is the Wi-Fi antenna interface.
The Wi-Fi antenna port is ipex1.
Please install the antenna onto the M2WE; otherwise, poor signal may prevent connection to the router.

Power Supply

Use a USB Type-C cable to connect the FLY host computer to your computer.
Ensure that the USB Type-C cable supports data transfer!
After the system boots, the indicator light will flash rapidly!!
Flashing indicates that the system has booted.

Connect to Host Computer SSH via Serial Port Using Webpage

After connecting the host computer to the computer via USB, click Device Connection below.
If normal, USB Serial or other similar devices will be displayed.
Select the corresponding device, then click Connect.
A prompt will appear upon successful connection.
FlyOS-FAST default username is root, default password is mellow.
Starting from version V1.3.2, the FAST system uses serial connection and automatically logs in by double-clicking or pressing Enter twice.
After pressing Enter, the following content will appear:

Connect to Host Computer SSH via Serial Port

If the host computer is properly connected to the computer, open Device Manager to see the CH340 port.

Open MobaXterm and set it up as follows, selecting the port seen earlier in Device Manager.

Please note that Speed(bps)* needs to be set to 115200.

If everything is normal, the startup screen will appear.
Wait a moment; when this screen appears, it means it has started.

If after a few minutes, the interface shows nothing like the image below, press Enter a few times.

To view the device IP, ensure it is connected via Ethernet cable or WiFi. Connect WiFi

Connect to Host Computer SSH via Network IP

Please log in to the router backend that the host computer is connected to, unless you know the host computer's IP address.
Please ensure you know the host computer's username and password.
FlyOS-FAST default username is root, default password is mellow.
If the motherboard has started and is connected to the network, you can use the following method to connect to SSH.
Open MobaXterm and set it up as follows, entering the IP address checked earlier or viewable in the router backend.

Note: In step 4, enter the host computer's username.

The first time connecting will pop up this window; click Accept.

It will prompt for a password; enter the host computer password and press Enter.

Note: The password entered here is not visible; just press Enter after typing.

For FLY-FAST system, username: root, password: mellow.
