Connecting to the Host via SSH

Power Off Operation

Before starting, completely shut down the printer and disconnect the power supply. Do not plug or unplug wiring harnesses, organize interface cable sequences, or touch terminals while the power is on.

Danger
  • This documentation only applies to FLY hosts
  • If you are compiling and flashing firmware, please refer to the network connection tutorial rather than the serial port connection tutorial
  • You can connect to the device via serial port or WIFI
  • Please prepare MobaXterm_Personal or other SSH terminal tools in advance
  • Please ensure that the corresponding host system has been flashed to the SD card or M2WE
  • If the host cannot start properly, please remove peripherals such as drivers, limit switches, and fans!!!
  • Finally, please connect to SSH via the network to facilitate firmware compilation!!
  • If you need to compile firmware, please refer to the tutorial on connecting to the host via WIFI or Ethernet cable

  • You need to ensure that the corresponding system has been flashed to the system card, otherwise it will not boot

Installing the Antenna

  1. Install the WIFI antenna
Caution
  • Please note that the host does not support WIFI with Chinese names, nor does it support dual-band merged WiFi (2.4G and 5G combined)
  • The location indicated by the red arrow is the WIFI antenna connector
  • The WIFI antenna port is ipex1
  • Please install the antenna onto the M2WE, otherwise the connection to the router may fail due to poor signal strength

Power Supply

  • Use a USB Type-C cable to connect the FLY host to the computer
  • Ensure that the USB Type-C cable supports data transmission!
  • After the system boots, the indicator light will flash rapidly!!
  • Flashing indicates that the system has started

Connecting via SSH

Connecting to Host Machine SSH via Serial Port Using Web Page

  • Connect the host machine to the computer via USB, then click Device Connect below.

  • If successful, USB Serial or a similar device will be displayed.

  • Select the corresponding device, then click Connect.

  • A prompt will appear upon successful connection.

  • FlyOS-FAST default username is root, default password is mellow.

  • Starting from version V1.3.2, the FAST system automatically logs in via serial connection by double-clicking or pressing Enter twice consecutively.

  • The content shown in the image below will appear after pressing Enter.
