FLY-CM4 Usage Precautions

Read before operating

Before any wiring or DIP switch operations, be sure to turn off the printer and disconnect the power. When flashing the system, also follow the corresponding guide.

1. Compute Module and System

  • The FLY-CM4 is a Raspberry Pi CM4 carrier board and requires an installed, compatible Raspberry Pi CM4 compute module.
  • For the system image and flashing method, follow Raspberry Pi CM4 System Flashing. Do not use the FlyOS Fast image intended for other FLY host boards.

2. Power Requirements

  • The FLY-CM4 supports DC 12V-24V input. Verify the power polarity and input voltage are correct.
  • Do not disassemble the power supply, modify mains wiring, or touch exposed high-current terminals.

3. Interface Operations

  • Power must be disconnected before installing the CM4 compute module, connecting screens, cameras, CAN harnesses, or adjusting DIP switches.
  • Confirm the orientation of the FPC cable before insertion. Do not force bend or insert it in reverse.
