Firmware Burning Instructions

How to Determine Which Firmware You Need

warning
  • Note that since C8P is a motherboard with integrated upper and lower units, if you are not using the CAN toolboard, please be sure to select USB firmware!!!
  • When using the CAN toolboard, please be sure to select CAN bridge firmware
  • RS232 does not require any firmware to be burned onto the mainboard, but the corresponding toolboard needs to be burned with RS232 firmware
  • USB Firmware
    • Advantages: The most commonly used connection method in 3D printers, communication is reliable and stable
    • Disadvantages: If there are multiple USB devices, it may affect data transmission
  • USB Bridge Firmware
    • Advantages: Can connect multiple devices at the same time and does not occupy the USB port. Only use this firmware when using the CAN toolboard
    • Disadvantages: The first compilation and burning of the firmware is more complicated.
