Incremental Upgrade (OTA)

  • On the Halo device information page, the version number can be clicked to check for updates. If there are available updates, a message will pop up, and you can click Update to start the upgrade. Do not power off during the process and wait for the progress to reach 100% before it automatically restarts.

Full Upgrade (USB)

  • If a full upgrade firmware is released, you need to use a USB cable to connect Halo to the computer for upgrading.
tip
  • Your original settings will not be retained during a full upgrade, and all settings will be restored to default.
  1. Download and unzip the USB burning tool flash_download_tool_3.9.4.zip(Click to download)
  2. Download the firmware Halo Firmware Download
  3. Open flash_download_tool_3.9.4.exe. Note: After opening the burning tool, a CMD window will pop up first, and then the interface of the burning tool will appear. Do not close the CMD window.
  4. In the burning tool, select ESP32-S3 for ChipType:.
  5. In the burning tool, select Develop for WorkMode:.
  6. In the burning tool, select USB for LoadMode:.
  7. Finally, click OK, refer to Figure 1 below.
tip
  • The green box area in Figure 2 above must be consistent with the image and cannot be modified.
  1. Connect Halo to the computer via a USB-Typec data cable.
  2. Click the blue area 1 button in Figure 2 above to select the firmware you downloaded.
  3. Click the blue area 2 in Figure 2 above to select Halo's serial port (if there is none, you can hold down the B button on the back of Halo and then connect it to the computer).
  4. Click the blue area 3 in Figure 2 above to start burning. Wait for the burning to complete and restart Halo to complete the full upgrade (you must wait for the prompt that the burning is complete before disconnecting Halo's cable).
